The ritual
A simple gesture, a strong marker
Water gathers people, soothes, and gives form to the passage. Around it, each person composes a tribute of their own measure.
Step 1
The act of tribute
Family and friends place a candle, a flower or a written word on the water.
Step 2
The symbolic movement
A gentle current sets the objects moving around the coffin.
Step 3
The closing
The coffin descends slowly and disappears into the catafalque.
